With 354 total victories on the mound, Roger Clemens is one of baseball’s all-time greatest pitchers. Clemens spent the first 12 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, where he earned the nickname “Rocket”. Former Red Sox General Manager Dan Duquette famously referred to Clemens as being in “the twilight of his career” after the 1996 season. Clemens bolted Boston following the 1996 season and signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.
While he would get his 300th victory in Yankee Stadium as a member of the Yankees, his milestone 200th victory was also in Yankee Stadium, but Clemens was pitching against the Yankees with the Blue Jays in that first season in Toronto. This Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball has tremendous game use from that milestone 200th career victory, with a well “rubbed up” look and numerous scuff marks and stains. The sweet spot contains a bold, blue ink “Roger Clemens 21” signature and the inscribed “5-21-97 #200” that reaches the side panel. This item comes with a COA PSA/DNA (AB59349).
