2009 saw first ballet Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. make his return to the Seattle Mariners, after spending the previous nine seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and 41 games with the Chicago White Sox in 2008. The 13-time all-star and 1997 American League MVP hit 19 home runs and drove in 57 in 117 games for the Mariners in 2009.

Griffey wore this size 48 Majestic Authentic road jersey during the 2009 season. This button-down jersey features “SEATTLE” sewn on across the chest in navy blue, teal green and white tackle twill. Navy blue piping runs along the collar and down each side of the buttons. The MLB logo patch is sewn on in navy blue, white and teal green above the blue piping on the back of the jersey. “GRIFFEY” and his “24” have been sewn on in navy blue and teal green on the back of the jersey. The left sleeve has the circular Mariners logo patch directly above the embroidered navy blue Majestic logo. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with a “48”, “+1” sleeve” and “+2” body” flaps, along with a “PROPERTY OF SEATTLE MARINERS 2009” tag.

Griffey signed his name in black marker between his numbers on the back of the jersey and inscribed “To Bret All my Best Ken Griffey Jr”. The jersey shows moderate game use with slight abrasions on the left sleeve. This jersey comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA for Griffey’s signature, a full LOA from Bret Boone, who attests that this jersey was given and signed by Griffey as a gift and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
