Former infielder Bret Boone spent 14 years in the Major Leagues with five different teams. During that time Boone, was a three-time all-star and won the Gold Glove Award four times. The 1999 season saw the steady infielder with the Atlanta Braves, where he helped them to the National League Pennant.
Offered is the rare “Turn Ahead The Clock” jersey that was worn by Boone during the August 18th game at Colorado. Boone was 0-4 in the game as the Rockies defeated the Braves 4-1. This navy blue size 44 Russell Athletic pullover jersey features the “Braves” and their “tomahawk” screened across the front. The sleeves are shortened and the back of the jersey has “24” sewn on in red and white tackle twill with “BOONE” sewn on vertically to the right of his number “24” in the same red and white material. The Russell Athletic size 44 tag is sewn on the inside back collar, along with a full Russell Athletic size 44 tag sewn on the bottom front left tail. The “Turn Ahead The Clock” was a promotion done by Major League Baseball during the 1999 season. Boone signed his name in black marker on the “4” of his “24” on the back of the jersey. This jersey comes with a LOA from Bret Boone and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
