Throughout his legendary career, Babe Ruth was often the subject of headlines in newspapers throughout the country. This particular newspaper, the “Downingtown Vindicator” out of Youngstown, Ohio, made Ruth’s head injury in 1925 the top story, with its headline “BABE RUTH HAS CONCUSSION OF BRAIN” in big bold print. This newspaper is dated April 9, 1925. This 17 x 21 ½ inch newspaper is in good condition given its age and displays toning, some of it heavier on the edges. There is also edge and corner wear throughout, but the print is still clear.
