In what was one of the worst disasters of that era, the Hindenburg zeppelin burst into flames while hovering over its landing area, killing 97 people. This newspaper, dated May 6, 1937, is from the “Toledo Blade”. The headline reads “97 ARE BELIEVED DEAD AS HINDENBURG CRASHES”. This 17 x 24 inch newspaper displays slight toning but the print is still clear. The edges and corners display wear but the newspaper is in overall good condition.
