Barry Bonds finished 1997 with a distinction no other player will ever boast; tying his own father’s MLB record for most 30/30 seasons. Bonds hit 40 homers and drove in 101 runs. The following season Bonds hit home run 500, making him the sole member of the 500 Home Runs/500 Stolen Bases Club. This 1997-1998 Young Bat Y20 model bat shows excellent use and is un-cracked. Several ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen along with white leather ball scuffs and blue ink transfers. A light coat of pine tar is on its handle and Bonds’ initials and model number are stamped into the knob. The bat’s weight “32” is written in black on the knob. The home run champ has signed the barrel in blue marker making this a truly special piece of wood. This bat comes with LOAs from PSA/DNA for game use and signature (1B10266 & AA07807) and have graded this bat a GU 8.5.
