A great gamer from the first great years of Alan Tammell’s career. This bat dates to 1980 when the Tigers shortstop made the first of six All-Star teams and the first of his four Gold Glove Awards. It was a harbinger of great things to come for the man who would be the MVP of the 1984 World Series. The Louisville Slugger U1 model bat displays good game use with a cracked handle. There is some checking on the back barrel from repeated ball contact. Trammell’s number “3” is written on the knob and he has signed the barrel in blue marker. This bat comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (1B10078) and a COA from PSA/DNA (AB41506).
