Offered is a 22-card near set of N117 "Industries of the States" non-sports cards issued by Duke and Gail & Ax in 1889. The "Industries of the States" series, not surprisingly held dear by sentient modern enthusiasts (that is to say, those who have a pulse), unashamedly pictured a number of bare-breasted and semi-draped, nubile figures among its host of subjects, and was considered quite risqué in relation to the prevailing 19th Century standards. Missing Louisiana, New Jersey and Vermont for completion. Grades 4% EX, 57% VG to VG/EX, 39% lesser.
