Offered is a 49-card near set of N20 "Prize & Game Chickens" non-sports card issued by Allen & Ginter in 1891. Each of these 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" widely-popular insert cards feature various fowl set against a barnyard-type scene. The checklisted back contains the title of the series, with the Allen & Ginter ad and lithographers name (Gast) located at the bottom. Missing Creve-Coeur Hen for completion. Seven cards have been skinned. Grades 10% EX, 19% VG to VG/EX, 71% lesser (including the skinned cards).
