As a struggling franchise, the New York Knicks needed to make a splash in the 2015 NBA Draft, and with the fourth overall selection, they surprised the basketball world by selecting Latvian youngster Kristaps Porzingis. The 7’3” forward more than held his own as he averaged 14.3 points per game in 72 games during his rookie campaign and has given New York a building block for the future.
Porzingis wore this white home jersey in the February 26, 2016 game against the Orlando Magic, where he scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots during the Knicks 108-95 victory at Madison Square Garden. This mesh jersey has “NEW YORK” arched across the chest in orange, blue and silver tackle twill with his number “6” on both sides sewn on in orange mesh with a blue stitching on white tackle twill. “PORZINGIS” is sewn directly on the jersey on in blue tackle twill above the number on the back. The Adidas 2XL tag (with LENGTH +2””) tag is on the front tail with attached “NKN04975” serial number patch. The NBA logo patch is sewn on above his name on the back of the jersey and the collar and arms have a silver, orange and blue pattern. A gold “2x” patch is sewn on above the NBA logo on the collar stripes. On the main tag is written “2-26-16 @ MSG v Orlando Magic” in black marker. This jersey comes with a full LOA from Steiner Sports.
