Future Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki spent the first 11 ½ seasons with the Seattle Mariners where he amassed 2,533 hits, was a 10-time All-Star, and became only the second player ever to win Rookie of the Year and League MVP in the same season (2001).
Offered is one of the last Mariners jerseys worn by Ichiro before his late-season trade to the New York Yankees. This button-down size 42 gray Majestic Authentic Cool Base jersey features “SEATTLE” across the chest in navy blue, teal and white tackle twill. Navy blue piping runs along the collar and down each side of the buttons. “ICHIRO” is sewn on in navy blue and teal directly on the back, along with his number “51”, which is also sewn on the back in navy blue and teal. The MLB logo patch is sewn on in navy blue, white and teal on the upper back neck above the piping. The left sleeve has the Mariners’ circular logo patch and the right sleeve has the “SEATTLE MARINERS 35th Anniversary” logo patch. The Majestic tag is screen printed on the bottom front tail with a faded “PROPERTY OF ICHIRO 2012” tag. Ichiro signed his name in silver marker “5” of his “51” and inscribed “51” and “12GU”. The jersey shows moderate game use and is in excellent condition. This jersey comes with a COA from Mill Creek Sports, which authenticates the game use by Ichiro and his signature and inscriptions.
