Charlie Chaplin rose to fame in the early 1920s while featuring in silent films. Offered here is a 21 x 22 inch matted and framed display that features a signed letter. The letter, which is matted to a dimension of 7 x 10 inches, is on “CHARLES SPENCER CHAPLIN” letterhead and dated “November 17, 1937” was signed by Chaplin in black ink. The letter, addressed to “Hon. Ewing G. Sadler State Representative Sulphur, Oklahoma” reads:
“Sir:
Thank you for wanting to add my autograph to your collection for the State Society.
Sincerely,” (Signed)
Also included in this framed display is an 8 x 10 black and white photograph that is matted to the same 7 x 10 inch dimension as the letter. Beneath the photograph and the letter is a 2 x 5 ½ black plate with silver etching that reads: “Charlie Chaplin “The Little Tramp” April 16th 1889 – December 25, 1977” This signed letter comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07651).
