After a disappointing 1969 season, the 1970 New York Yankees rebounded to win 93 games led by Rookie of the Year Thurman Munson. Unfortunately for the Yankees, they happen to share the same division with the juggernaut Baltimore Orioles, who won 108 games en route to the World Series championship. Offered is an Official American League Joseph E. Cronin baseball signed by 25 members of the 1970 New York Yankees in black ink. Mel Stottlemyre signed his name across the sweet spot with Curt Blefary signing his name on the commissioner’s stamped sweet spot. Thurman Munson signed his name on the blue “REACH” stamped panel with the other signatures being Steve Kline, Jake Gibbs and Mike Kecich. The panel to the left of the Stottlemyre sweet spot has the signatures of Roy White, Horace Clarke, Bobby Murcer, Jim Hegan, Ron Woods, Elston Howard and Ron Hansen. The panel to the left of the stamped sweet spot contains the signatures of Steve Hamilton, Jerry Kenney, Fritz Peterson, Gene Michael, Gary Waslewski, Mike McCormick and Pete Ward. The panel to the right of the stamped sweet spot has the signatures of Jim Turner, Frank Baker, Stan Bahnsen, Lindy McDaniel and Danny Cater. This baseball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07699).
