An innovator in the 3D pop art style, Charles Fazzino's work is exhibited in hundreds of fine art galleries worldwide. Fazzino’s unique touch and distinctive style are on display here, with this tribute ball to Detroit Tigers legend Hank Greenberg. At the center of the piece is Greenberg’s autograph in black ink. Fazzino has decorated around the signature and designed outward from the focal point, covering the rest of the ball with bejeweled tributes to Greenberg, including his lifetime statistics, career highlights, and favored nicknames (“Hammerin’ Hank; The Hebrew Hammer”) amidst depictions of the hall of famer in action. A raised Detroit Tiger medieval gothic “D” logo is set directly above the signature, immediately drawing the eye, and Fazzino has added his own signature in black marker to the opposite side of the ball. An unquestionably unique, one-of-a-kind piece, this pop art signed baseball comes with a full LOA from JSA (129402), a full LOA from PSA (AA07670) and a COA from Museum Editions, Ltd (note: PSA LOA suggest that this ball has been painted over to conceal additional signatures and/or inscriptions to give the appearance that it is a single-signed baseball).
