Graded NM 7 (OC) by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year appearance on Topps gum cards. Presented is an icon of the collecting hobby, in the form of the universally desired '52 Topps depiction of Mickey Mantle. This example reveals splendid coloration in every aspect of the all-important player image. The card's graphic elements – team logo and caption block – are unblemished, and its azure-blue background hue retains essentially pack-fresh intensity. The back exhibits no wrapper-wax staining, and the corners and edges show acceptable evidence of light, respectful circulation. Image alignment tends toward the right, and a very slight obliqueness in its positioning is barely detectable. This is a very tempting and attractive piece that's ideal for the clean, mixed-grade 1952 Topps set that so many enthusiasts aspire to complete. Near Mint condition, qualified as noted.
