Recently elected Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr. wore this Russell Athletic size 46 Seattle Mariners button-down navy blue alternate road knit jersey during the 1999 season. Griffey’s 1999 season saw the great outfielder lead the American League in home runs with 48 and a making his 10th straight all-star appearance.
This jersey features “SEATTLE” arched across the chest in sewn on silver, blue and green tackle twill. Silver piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. “GRIFFEY” has been sewn on in silver and green on a matching navy blue name plate on the back along with the sewn on “24” in silver and green. The left sleeve has the Seattle Mariners logo patch sewn on with the right sleeve having the Russell Athletic logo embroidered in white. The jersey shows moderate use and the Russell Athletic size 46 tag with a “2” Extra Sleeve Length” and a “1999” tag have been sewn on the bottom front tail. Griffey signed his name in silver marker on the back of the jersey between his name and number. This game used and signed jersey comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07627) and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
