By Game 6 of the 1956 World Series, the Brooklyn Dodgers had to be thinking what can we do to score a run? After Don Larsen’s historic perfect game in Game 5 of the series, the scene shifted back to Ebbets Field. After nine scoreless innings, the Yankees were shout out in the top of the 10th bringing up the Dodgers in the bottom of the 10th. After a walk to Jim Gilliam, Pee Wee Reese sacrificed him to second base and then Duke Snider was intentionally walked by Yankees pitcher Bob Turley. Jackie Robinson stepped up to the plate and delivered a walk-off single to left field that plated Gilliam and the Dodgers staved off elimination. Offered is a full ticket from that nail-biting extra inning game. This white and yellow ticket with blue and green print has a face value of $2.10 and has five holes punched in it. The ticket has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (21104831) and been graded “VG 3”.
