The 1946 Triple Crown winner in horse racing was “Assault” who got his run started during the 1946 Kentucky Derby. Ridden by jockey Warren Mehrtens, “Assault” won the race by eight lengths, despite not being the favored horse coming into the race. This 2 ¾ x 3 ¾ inch ticket stub from Churchhill Downs is orange with green and red print. This “Terrace Section” ticket has a face value of $9.15 and has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (15450266) and been graded a “VG-EX 4”.
