The New York Yankees cruised to a 10-5 romp over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 4 of the 1926 World Series, and the dominant headline of the game was a three-home-run display by Babe Ruth. All of that power was on full view for the holder of this stub on October 6, 1926 at Sportsman's Park. (It was nationally reported at the time that Ruth had promised a home run in this game to a bedridden boy, Johnny Sylvester, and that the young man experienced a remarkable recovery after the Babe delivered so dramatically.) Ruth went 6 for 20 (a .300 average) with four homers and 5 RBI in the 1926 Yankees' seven-game World Series loss to the Cardinals. This 2 x 4 ½ inch stub has an off-white color with black and red print. The face value of this ticket is $5.50 and has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (23398703) and been graded AUTHENTIC.
