Hall of Fame manager Joe McCarthy was the manager of the great New York Yankees teams of the 1930s and 1940s where he guided them to seven World Series Titles. He was also the first manager to win a pennant for both leagues. Offered is a 3 x 8 ¼ inch signed check from McCarthy written and signed in black ink. This check, drawn from his Marine Midland account, is dated “Feb 11th, 1972” and made out to “Wall St Journal” in the amount of $18.50. McCarthy’s name is signed “J.V. McCarthy” and this entire check has been encapsulated by SGC in a 7 ½ x 10 ½ inch holder and graded as AUTH.
