Hailing from a noted Amateur League organized by the Pittsburgh Press newspaper, this ornate 18-inch tall award showcases Roman columns, laurel-wreath friezes and a baseball-shaped mount for the swinging player. The embossed text reads, "CHAMPIONSHIP / TROPHY / THE PRESS / LIBERTY LEAGUE / SEASON 1923." Typical light surface patina to the silver/metal components, along with minor handling wear and age spotting to the wooden base. The bat is detached but could easily be professionally repaired.
