Pictured in center of this vintage 7 x 9 ½ inch photograph is John McGraw, the long-time player/manager for the New York Giants. McGraw’s tenure with the team ran from 1902 – 1932, and was a player with the club from 1902-1906. McGraw, in this photograph, is in a suit and standing between two men in their Giants uniforms. To the right of McGraw is Tommy Clarke, who was a player for the Cubs and Reds, but served as coach under McGraw on the 1933 World Series team. There is a signature on Clarke’s photo, but it has not been authenticated. The photograph shows wear, with chipping on the edges and the top left corner missing.
