As one of the greatest defensive shortstops of all-time, Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith “The Wizard” was a well-deserving recipient of 13 Gold Glove Awards throughout his 19-season career with the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals.
This button-down size 42 Rawlings St. Louis Cardinals home white jersey was worn by Smith during the 1995 season, his second-to-last of his career. This jersey has the “Cardinals” birds and bat logo across the front, in a smooth chenille, with his number “1” sewn below in red and navy blue tackle twill. The back of the jersey has his name “O. SMITH” on a matching white nameplate across the back with the number “1” below, both in red on navy blue tackle twill. Inside the front tail is the red “Rawlings” manufacturers tag with attached size “42” and “SET 1 1995” flag tags. The jersey shows light game use as Smith played in only 44 games during the 1995 season. Smith signed his name in black marker on the front of the jersey on the center right of the jersey. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07821) for his signature and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
