After settling in as Derek Jeter’s replacement, New York Yankees’ shortstop DiDi Gregorius has become a solid building block for the Bronx Bombers. Offered in this lot are two game used items that Gregorius wore during the 2016 season.
The first item is this Louisville Slugger M110 model bat that has a crack in the handle into the barrel, with a sliver missing from that crack. This maple bat displays excellent use with ball marks, bat rack marks, cleat impressions and Mota stick on the handle. This bat was broken during the fifth inning of the May 24th game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium against pitcher R.A. Dickey. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10209) and has been graded a “GU 8”, a LOA from Steiner Sports, and a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 804867).
The second item is the batting helmet Gregorius used up until the June 30, 2016 game against the Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium. This navy blue Rawlings helmet shows outstanding game use with numerous scratches and marks consistent with game use. Pine tar is coated on the brim, with the slightly raised interlocking “NY” logo sticker on the front and Gregorius’ number “18” on the brim. The inner lining pad is still intact with a left ear flap. The back of the helmet has the MLB Logo sticker in navy blue and gray with an “18” sticker in white. This game used helmet comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 772166) and a full LOA from Steiner Sports, both of which authenticate this helmets game use to the June 30th game against Texas.
