Recruited by Bo Schembechler, defensive back Brian Carpenter made his mark at Michigan and became a 4th-round NFL draft pick in 1982. The following year, he appeared in 15 games for the Redskins en route to their second straight Super Bowl—this time, a loss to the Raiders. Carpenter's Jostens 10K-gold, size 10-1/2 ring features 85 points' worth of diamonds and rates NM condition. Accompanied by the Jostens box and a 1993 purchase LOA reading, in part, "[T]this ring was awarded to Brian Carpenter who was the backup corner-back behind Darrell Green, and played in the Super Bowl game."
