Offered is a singled signed Official National League Warren Giles baseball signed by legendary manager Casey Stengel. Stengel’s signature is signed on the sweet spot in light blue pen. Also inscribed on the opposite side panel is “1961 ALL-STAR NATIONAL vs AMERICAN AT CANDELSTICK PARK”. This ball was procured by former New York Mets’ scout Roy Partee, who was a scout for the team from the beginning up until 1989. According to the letter of authenticity provided by his children Raymond Partee and Sue Partee, their father was a personal friend of Stengel and at that time were both working in the Mets’ organization. This ball displays excellent game use with dirt stains and abrasions. The ball shows toning, but Stengel’s signature is clear and nicely presentable. This game used and signed baseball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (I10176) and a LOA from the children of former Mets scout Roy Partee.
