The most celebrated expansion team in Major League Baseball history, the 1962 New York Mets still holds the record for the most losses in a single-season in the modern era with 120. The team was nothing if not colorful, though, as best personified by manager Casey Stengel. This baseball has been signed by twenty-four members of that 1962 New York Mets club, and includes Stengal’s easily recognizable signature on the sweet spot. Joining him on this multi-signed baseball is fellow Hall of Famer Richie Ashburn, along with other notable players including Gil Hodges, Frank Thomas, Roger Craig, Ed Kranepool, and Gene Woodling, to name a few. This team-signed ball is accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07857).
