Finally overcoming the dark cloud of the 1919 Black Sox scandal, Ozzie Guillen and company brought home the first Pale Hose championship in 87 years. Offered is a fine alternative to the year's championship rings: A Tourneau watch in NM condition with a row of 10 diamonds on each side and with the original "Swiss Quartz" plastic hanger tag and string still attached. It's accompanied by the Tourneau deluxe "SOX / WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS / 2005" presentation box (5" x 3-1/2" x 3", NM) with interior velour cushion and exterior cover box. As a measure of relative value, Carlos May's staff watch example sold at auction in 2010 for over $2,700.
