Offered is arguably the highest eye-appeal 1954 New York Giants team signed baseball in existence. This brand new Spalding ONL Giles baseball appears it could have been pulled from a store shelf today, and retains the perfect stampings and exhibits a richly, lightly toned surface.
On these near perfect surfaces are 30 bold, blue ink signatures including a vintage Willie Mays beauty on the sweet spot just under the stamped version of manager Leo Durocher. Includes – Sweet Spot: Willie Mays; East Panel: Wes Westrum, Joe Amalfitano, Marv Grissom, Joe Margoneri, Eric Rodin and Ron Sanford. West Panel: Jim Hearn, Dusty Rhodes, Hank Thompson, Al Corwin, Pete Burnside, George Spencer, Monte Irvin and Bill Taylor; North Panel: Bob Hofman, Ruben Gomez, Whitey Lockman, Ray Katt, Paul Geil, Sal Maglie and one other; South Panel: John McCall, Bill Goodman, Foster Castelman, Al Worthington, Hoyt Wilhelm, Jim Constable, Don Liddle and Don Mueller. Even though the Durocher signature is a stamp, the ball displays beautifully and has been graded by PSA/DNA (T03224), as NM-MT+ 8.5 overall with the ball grading an “8”, the signatures grading “8” with a half point overall bump of 0.5 “for eye appeal.”
