The seven-year itch was over—Bo Schembechler finally won a bowl game, and where better than at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, with a 23-6 victory over the Washington Huskies on January 1, 1981. Wide receiver Anthony Carter, whom Schembechler considered the best athlete he'd ever been around, amassed 101 total yards and a TD. Offered here is the size 13 championship ring of defensive tackle Cedric Coles, with a Rose Bowl logo inlaid in a blue stone, as well as a nice enameled Wolverine helmet on one shank. "COLES" is engraved inside the band. EX/MT display appearance but with a few hairline fissures inside the band.
