The single-most indelible memory burned into all of our collective sports brains from the 1991 season is Desmond Howard striking the Heisman pose after a 93-yard punt return—and it has remained one of the more enduring images in NCAA football history. Elvis Grbac and Erick Anderson also starred for the 1991 Wolverines. This Jostens 10K-gold, size 10 ring was given to wide receiver (and future team captain) Walter Smith. It showcases a gold "M" inlaid in a blue stone, with enameled shank designs of a Wolverine helmet and Rose Bowl logo. The engraved inner band celebrates Michigan's fourth of five straight Big Ten titles: "BIG TEN CHAMPIONS / 1988 1989 1990 1991 / 100%." EX/MT condition.
