In 1992 A.D. ("After Desmond"), Michigan's receiving corps welcomed freshmen standouts Mercury Hayes and Amani Toomer. The 1992 Wolverines went undefeated, captured their fifth straight Big Ten championship, and then won the Rose Bowl—thanks in large part to Tyrone Wheatley's 235-yard, 3-TD performance. Mercury Hayes eventually distinguished himself with a 30-game reception streak and a game-winning catch in the 1995 Pigskin Classic, before going on to play in both the NFL and CFL. Hayes' Jostens 10K-gold, size 10 ring features a gold "M" inlaid in a blue stone, with nice enameled shank designs. The inner band is engraved, "Big Ten Champions / 1988 Thru 1992 / Undefeated - 1992." NM condition.
