A lack of pinstripes on Ol' Pete's road uniform appears to point to 1928, when, at age 41, the grizzled WWI vet was still putting up strong numbers, with a 16-9 record and 3.36 ERA. Measuring 6 ½ x 8 ½ inches, the bust portrait features a trio of Underwood-related stampings on the reverse, including Underwood-Stratton. High gloss and wonderful image focus right down to Alexander's crow's feet and pores. Faint streak on forehead and a couple hairline vertical impressions in right background. This photograph comes with a LOA for Type I from PSA/DNA (1P06488).
