Featured here is a signed copy of a Willy Wonka “Golden Ticket” from the cult classic film: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The film upon its original release in June 30, 1971 was not a huge success, being only the 53rd highest grossing movie of the year. After several years however, the film achieved much success after being shown on cable television, and thus became popular enough for a re-release in 1996.
This ticket, much like the ticket in the movie, is gold colored with the words “Wonka’s Golden Ticket” printed in bold black, hovering over the instructions for admission into the factory. The ticket stand 3 ½ x 5 ½ inches and comes encased in a plastic shell that measures 10 x 6 ½ inches. Award winning actor Gene Wilder, Mr. Willy Wonka himself, has autographed this ticket in black ink over the top right corner. This item comes encapsulated by PSA/DNA (83873935) and has been graded a GEM MT 10.
