Former Oakland A’s slugger Mark McGwire had a bounce-back season in 1992. After hitting only 25 home runs with a .201 batting average, McGwire rebounded in 1992 where he hit an impressive 42 home runs, drove in 104 runs and had a respectable .268 batting average. This size 7 3/8 New Era forest green hat with a yellow brim and the white raised “A’s” in front, was worn by McGwire during the 1992 season. The MLB logo is embroidered in forest green, white and yellow on the back of the cap and McGwire’s “24” is hand written in black marker on the green underside of the brim. The hat shows moderate game use with sweat and dirt stains on the inner white sweat band and the hat has been dated to 1992 as the MLB logo patch was first put on the hats for that season. McGwire signed his name in black marker on the yellow brim. This hat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AC04037) for the signature and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
