During a stellar career that saw him amass 318 victories, Hall of Fame hurler Phil Niekro baffled hitters – and his own catchers alike – with his fluttering knuckleball. This New Era size 7 ¼ blue and white Atlanta Braves cap was worn by Niekro during the late 1970s based on the style, tags and manufacturer. Showing moderate game use with sweat stains on the white inner sweat band, this cap has a blue brim and blue back with a white front crown. A red, white and blue lower-cased “a” patch is sewn on the white front. Niekro’s number “35” is hand written in black marker on the green underside brim. Niekro has signed his name in bold silver marker on the top of the blue brim.
