Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among more than 3,700 copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just two examples have been graded higher. Presented is one of the hobby's favorite mid-career Clemente cards in a superior, almost never-seen state of preservation. This item is a special, nicely centered treasure from the delicate 1961 Topps set, whose edges tend to betray even the faintest hint of handling. Here, borders and corners appear pack-fresh, as if the piece was never stacked with other, lesser cards, but somehow emerged from the factory already housed in its PSA holder. The card's reverse, with the release's comical triptych lining the bottom margin, features super-strong print quality. The card has a strikingly clean surface, with a crystal-clear portrait image and tremendous eye appeal. Bright Mint condition.
