A single trading card from Upper Deck's "Hair Cuts" redemption issue is presented. The card contains an encapsulated strand of actual hair from its subject, Mary Lincoln.

The "Hair Cuts" series was distributed in extremely limited numbers through a redemption offer in "Piece of History" baseball. A variety of important personages from the past are featured on individual cards, and each one of these exclusive collectibles is a marvel of creativity. A statement from University Archives – an organization that was instrumental in the production of the cards – appears on the back of each piece; this declaration attests to each hair strand's authenticity, and serves as the COA for the subject item.

Graded EX 5 by PSA. This is one of four examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of four copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. Mary Todd Lincoln (1818-1882) was the wife of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, and served as First Lady from 1861 to 1865. Excellent condition.
