Featured is a 1947 Official Program guide. The 1947 World Series pitted the Brooklyn Dodgers against the New York Yankees. The 1947 Series is not only remembered for being a back and forth battle between both teams (seeing as it went all seven games), but also because it was the first time the color barrier was broken in a World Series with Jackie Robinson’s participation. This legendary showdown saw the New York Yankees emerge as the winners, 4-3 , as they captured their 11th World Series championship. This program guide was the official one issued during the series, and remains un-scored!. The program shows some signs of aging such as minor wear on the edges and there is tape on the lower left corner, as well as on the inside middle of the book, directly over the staples. The book contains all pages, with all pages fully intact. Considering its age, the guide is in good condition.
