A great bat used to hit not one, but two, of Gary Sheffield’s eventual 509 career home runs. The Rawlings 170B model bat shows outstanding use and is un-cracked. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible along with white leather ball scuffs and blue ink transfers. A moderate coat of pine tar has been applied and the knob and the lower handle has been taped to enhance the grip. Sheff has signed the barrel in silver pen and added “Career HR 429 #430 vs. Baltimore Orioles 7/4/05 Pitcher Bruce Chen 7/5/05 Pitcher Rodrigo Lopez”. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10714) for the game use and a COA from PSA/DNA (AC41470) for the signature and inscriptions.
