New York Yankees fans watched in horror as Derek Jeter began the 2003 season by colliding with Blue Jays catcher Ken Huckaby on Opening Day. The Captain spent six weeks on the DL, but came roaring back by hitting .324 for the rest of the year. Quite a few of his 156 hits can be seen on the barrel of this 2003 gamer. The Louisville Slugger P72 model bat is un-cracked and shows good game use. Many ball marks with stitch impressions and white leather ball scuffs are found on the barrel. A moderate coat of pine tar is on the handle and the future Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in silver pen. The bat comes with a full GU 8.5 LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10879) for the game use and full LOA from Steve Grad at Beckett Authentication for the signature.
