The New York Yankees have a history of dominant pitching. From Lefty Gomez to Mariano Rivera, expectations have always been high for the Yankee pitching staffs. This 44 x 34 inch canvas painting features five Yankees who have won Cy Young Awards: Bob Turley, Whitey Ford, Roger Clemens, Sparky Lyle, and Ron Guidry. All these players signed the canvas in black Sharpie, adding an inscription of the year they won the Cy Young Award.
The artist Doo S. Oh painted each of these men throwing pitches while wearing Yankee home jerseys. Below the players is a large baseball bearing a picture of Cy Young, baseball’s all-time winningest pitcher. The background features a painting of the Yankee Stadium diamond as well as a view from outside the stadium. Oh signed this portrait in the bottom right corner. This is a limited edition 6 of 6 painting and comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (AC4456).
