One of the first international film stars, Greta Garbo was one of the most iconic actresses of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Garbo starred in films such as Torrent, Camille, and Anna Karenina. Born in Sweden, Garbo was beloved on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean for her beauty and acting skills.
Offered here is a 10x10 inch black and white studio portrait of Garbo. Taken for the silent film Torrent, the photograph exhibits her seductive and mysterious nature. Torrent was Garbo’s first foray into American cinema. There are minor mounting remnants on the verso, but otherwise the photograph is in excellent condition. This item comes with a Letter of Provenance from the Garbo estate.
