Offered is an Official American League William Harridge baseball that has been signed by 22 members of the 1934 New York Yankees that won 94 games, but finished seven games behind the Detroit Tigers in the American League. Hall of Famer Babe Ruth’s distinctive signature has been signed across the sweet spot in blue steel-tipped marker. Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig signed his name on the side panel to the left Ruth’s signature. That panel also includes the signatures of Hall of Famer Lefty Gomez, Myril Hoag and one unidentified player. Hall of Famers Red Ruffing signed (signed Chas. Ruffing), Tony Lazzeri and Burleigh Grimes signed their name on one side panel with the signatures of Dixie Walker and Red Rolfe. Another panel has the signatures of Hall of Famers Joe Sewell and Earle Combs, with the signatures of Danny MacFayden, Johnny Murphy and Frank Crosetti. The next panel has the signatures of Ben Chapman, Johnny Allen, Don Heffner, Red Rolfe (second signature), Johnny Broaca (who just signed his last name) and Sam Byrd. “1934” is hand written on the stamped sweet spot. This ball displays toning due to its age and the stitching are red and blue, but the signatures are bold. Seven Hall of Famers from the great 1930s teams have penned their name in blue on this baseball. This multi-signed baseball comes with a full LOA from JSA (B59197).
