This was the bat Gary Sheffield used to hit career home run number 434 on July 17, 2005. The blast was hit off Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield and put Sheff in a tie for 32nd place on the all-time career home run list. The Louisville Slugger 170B model bat shows excellent use with a handle crack. Sheffield has signed the barrel in silver marker and carefully noted the specifics surrounding his 434th career home run (“#11”, “Career HR #434”and “7/17/05 vs Boston Red Sox”, “Pitcher Tim Wakefield Tied With Juan Gonzalez on the All Time Home Run List for 32nd Place”). This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10901) for the game use and a COA from PSA/DNA (AC41464) for the signature and inscription.
