This edition of the Yankees featured a cast of aging stars, including Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Whitey Ford. They finished the season 70-89 with young star Joe Pepitone finishing the season with a team-leading 31 home runs.
This ball has 27 signatures, including Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle and Phil Rizzuto on the sweet spot, Tom Tresh twice, Hall of Famer Whitey Ford, Hall of Famer Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Joe Pepitone, Jim Bouton, manager Ralph Houk, and many others.
