Featured is a pair of Rod Carew game used cleats. Carew who played for the Minnesota Twins and the California Angels, is a Hall of Fame first & second baseman. He was an 18-time All-Star, an AL MVP, Rookie of the Year, and a seven-time AL batting champion. Though not known as a homerun hitter, Carew had an amazingly high batting average through his career and had 3,053 career hits. These featured cleats are from his 1983 season with the California Angels, in which he recorded a .339 batting average, appeared in 129 games, and was an All-Star. These red PONY cleats feature signatures on both shoes on the white portion with the number”29” inscribed in both. The shoes were originally manufactured as turf shoes thought custom metal cleats have been added to each. Both shoes are display outstanding game use with wear and tear, as well as dirt still attached to the bottom of the cleats. These cleats come with a LOA from MEARS and a LOA from Rod Carew for the game use and individual LOAs from PSA/DNA (AC04496, AC04497) for signatures.
