Featured is a 1948 Cleveland Indians World Series ticket. The 1948 World Series pitted the Cleveland Indians against the then Boston Braves. This would become the only World Series from 1948 to 1958 to not feature a team from New York. This was also the first World Series to be broadcasted on a nationwide network, with both teams never having lost a previous World Series. This allowed for an increase in exposure to a larger audience and this series would ultimately see the Cleveland Indians emerge victorious over the Boston Braves. The Indians’ roster featured Hall of Famers, Lou Boudreau, Bob Feller, Larry Dobby, and Satchel Paige and this would become the last World Series won by the Cleveland Indians to date. This yellow and gray ticket, with black and white print not only embodies their 1947 victory, but captures the last moment they tasted absolute victory. This ticket shows very minor signs of wear, such as light creases that are hardly noticeable, but otherwise is in good condition and has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (22319178).
