Featured is a program guide/scorecard for the 1946 World Series. This World Series pitted the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Boston Red Sox. In a razor close game and series, the St. Louis Cardinals would go on to win the World Series in Game 7, as Hall of Famer Enos Slaughter had his famous “mad dash” in the bottom of the eighth inning of Game 7 that put the Cardinals up 4-3 in the game with St. Louis holding on for the one-run victory. The Cardinals would receive their sixth World Series title and this program guide/scorecard from Fenway Park is unmarked/un-scored and contains all full pages. This booklet shows signs of wear including some light creases, as well as cracks and tears on the spine and edges of the paper. Pages 19-22 have fallen off the staple, but are still fully intact and included within the booklet. The guide remains in overall good condition with no major damage to any page or the cover. This guide would make a good addition to any Cardinals collection!
