In a battle of field goals, Miami Dolphins kicker Olindo Mare kicked four field goals to New England Patriots’ kicker Adam Vinitieri’s three field goals as the Dolphins defeated the Patriots 12-9 on October 25, 1998 in Miami.
Hall of Famer Dan Marino threw for 279 yards in the game and wore this size 54 Starter Athletic white Miami Dolphins jersey during the October 25th game. This white mesh jersey features Marino’s number “13” sewn on in teal, orange and navy blue tackle twill on the front, back and shoulders. The shoulders, arms and sides are made of a white spandex material. “MARINO” is sewn on the back in teal and orange tackle twill on a matching white spandex nameplate. Each sleeve has a teal stripe screen-printed with the Dolphins logo patch sewn on and Starter Athletic logo embroidered in teal. At the base of the front of the jersey are four Velcro squares and on the back of the jersey are long Velcro strips at the base. The teal v-neck collar has the NFL shield patch sewn on at the base. This jersey shows moderate game use with some small stains on the front and side and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
